如今,Facebook,YouTube,LinkedIn等社交媒体不仅在我们的日常生活中变得越来越受欢迎,而在人们的工作中也越来越受欢迎。一方面,它更紧密地联系在一起,为雇主提供更多渠道来了解更多信息,例如员工的资格,工作态度和工作各方面的技能,另一方面,它可能会使雇主违反法律,所以雇主必须深入了解社交媒体,以便更好地为他们服务。
Nowadays, social media like Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn become more and more popular not only in our daily life, but in people’s work. On one hand, it ties each other more closer and gives employers more channels to know more information, like employee’s qualification, attitudes towards work and skills at every part of work, well, on the other hand, it possibly make employers violate laws, so employers have to know deeply about social media so as to make it serve for them better.
在我看来,这篇文章清楚地列出了我从未想过的三个让我感到兴趣的部分。在雇用员工的过程中,我第一次知道当使用社交媒体作为收集信息的便利平台时,雇主应注意不要引起任何法律问题。在阅读本文之前,我认为我们在网站上提供的信息是开放的,任何人都不需要支付任何费用来阅读它,而在本文之后,我知道存在个人数据(隐私)条例,以确保个人信息。由于社交媒体是开放的,很容易造成不利因素,因此雇主应制定社交媒体政策,以避免信息披露可能带来的危险。这一次,我认为最好的描述是你不能使用社交媒体来传递违背公司利益或将公司与任何危险联系起来的文字或图片,或者你可能会被解雇,甚至认为你有权发表评论。
In my opinion, this article clearly lists three parts never occurred to me that makes me feel interested.  In the process of hiring employees, I know for the first time that when using social media as a convenient platform to gather information, employer should notice not to cause any legal issue. Before reading this article, I thought the information that we put on the website is open and anybody won’t have to pay any cost to read it, while after this article, I know that there exists Personal Data(Privacy) Ordinance which secure the personal information. Since social media is open and very easy to cause disadvantages, employers should work out social media policy to avoid the dangers which may be caused by information disclosure. This time, I think the best description will be you cannot use social media to deliver the words or pictures that go against company interests or relate company with any danger, or maybe you will be fired, even thought you have the rights to make comments.
社交媒体在当今的业务中扮演着更重要的角色,我们不能忽视,如果我们以正确的方式使用社交媒体,它将使我们受益。雇主应该更多地关注社交媒体并做好充分的准备。只有这样,他们才能充分利用它才能使自己的工作受益。Social media plays more important role in nowadays business which we cannot ignore, if we use it in a right way, it will benefit us accordingly. Employers should pay more attention to social media and make a sufficient preparation to it. Only in this way can they make full use of it to benefit their work.
