查探一間你熟識的企業的問題,完成以下要求:
1. 在課堂上向同學展示初步構想如何具商業理據。[註: 三人一小组] (5%)
2. 以該企業的内部顧問身份、或以外方顧問身份,根據這家企业目前所存在的問題,制定改善業務問題的「項目創始文件」( PID)。(5%)
3. 針對業務問題,提出以人為本的改善建议,包括但不局限於題目、規劃、和貫徹方案。(30%)
4. 在改善問題的項目建议中,發表对問題成因的調查結果和結論的處理和展示。(20%)
5. 在改善問題的項目建议中,對所選擇的方案提出詳細的策略和方法說明,包括財務要素。(25%)
6. 對上面(2) 至(5) 項的文字運用和表達技巧的掌握。(10%)
7. 提交自我評估(附錄250字)(5%)
註: 以上(3), (4) 及(5) 三項的文字數目要求: 總共不少於3000字
指引
本作業目的在於:
 測試學員對學科知識的理解和應用是否已達到第七級碩士程度。
 測試學員如何運用統計學和研究方法的知識和技能,為不同行業的機構分析、預測在策略發展方面產生問題、形成風險的原因和後果。#p#分页标题#e#
 促使學員運用學科知識、分析和解說技巧為機構提供解決不同管理決策的可行方案。

請學員不要:
 簡單描述問題,沒有引用適當理論、模型和概念。學員應把重點放在“分析”問題上。
 純粹倚靠網路資源。學員應在報告中引用適當書籍及期刊文章舉例證明其作業。
 提交他人完成的作業。若有任何原因懷疑作業的原創性,學員將會被傳召參加口試。
學員應該:
 引用最少5份可靠的文獻以提高作業品質。
 正確運用哈佛大學參考文獻注釋體系。
 運用選取的文獻解釋問題及支持論點與建議。
 組織報告內容,依次表達。適當使用副標題,使文章有邏輯及易於閱讀。
 謹記此為碩士生水平的作業,評分標準及等級。

評分標準及等級
A級 (70分或以上):獲A級的報告應該在撰寫及表達方面都非常出色。學員應該引用適當的文獻闡釋及支持在報告開展的論點,適當地使用哈佛大學參考文獻注釋體系引用文獻,清晰展示廣泛閱讀及對科目充分理解的證據,對學習科目正確及創造性地應用理論,按碩士水準撰寫準確、具啟發想像力、理解力強的內容。
B級 (60至69分):獲B級的報告應該在撰寫及表達方面都很好。學員應該引用適當的文獻闡釋及支持在報告開展的論點,適當地使用哈佛大學參考文獻注釋體系引用文獻,清晰展示相關閱讀及對科目良好理解的證據,對特定的問題正確地應用理論,按碩士水準撰寫準確、符合邏輯的內容。
C級 (50或59分):獲C級的報告應該撰寫得好、表達清晰。學員應該引用適當的文獻闡釋及支持在報告開展的論點,適當地使用哈佛大學參考文獻注釋體系引用文獻,展示一些相關閱讀及對科目理解的證據,對特定的問題正確地應用理論,按碩士水準撰寫準確、合情理的內容。
D級 (40或49分):獲D級的報告應該符合邏輯、易於閱讀。學員應該引用一些適當的文獻闡釋及支持在報告開展的論點,適當地使用哈佛大學參考文獻注釋體系引用文獻,展示一些閱讀及對科目理解的證據,對特定的問題應用理論,大部分按碩士水準撰寫準確、合情理的內容。
E級 (30至39分):獲E級的報告能達到D級大部分的要求,但報告的總體水準不能獲合格,或文獻引用非依照哈佛大學參考文獻注釋體系。如果報告撰寫準確,但大部分在碩士水準之下,報告將獲E級。
F級 (29分或以下):若符合以下所述,報告將獲F級:
 報告撰寫不清楚和不合邏輯
 沒有運用足夠的適當文獻去支持主體論述
 沒有正確使用哈佛大學參考文獻注釋體系引用文獻#p#分页标题#e#
 沒有恰當地闡述題目的要求
 大部分達不到碩士水準的要求

Assignment:

Remarks:
1. It is a 3,000 words Management Consultancy Report with Project Initiation Document;
2. Assignments should be typed;
3. This assignment accounts for 100% of total assessment in this module.

Learning outcomes covered:
1. Promote, utilise and demonstrate the mastery of consultancy and project management skills to advance and sustain organisational and individual effectiveness;

2. Critically analyse and evaluate the people issues that impact upon an organisations service-profit-chain with the purpose of initiating change for the better.

Individual Report (100%):

Investigate the existing business issues or problems of an organization that you are familiar with, and response to the following requirements:
1. In a small group of three persons, present to the class your initial thoughts of consultancy project which is based on viable commercial or business rationale. (5%)
2. In the role of an internal or external consultant, and based on the problems identified, formulate a project initiation document (PID) for the organisation. (5%)
3. In view of the existing problems, propose a people - centered improvement project, including but not limited to title, planning, and implementation tactics. (30%)
4. In the improvement proposal, present the results of root causes analysis, conclusion and alternative in dealing with such problems. (20%)
5. In the improvement proposal, elaborate all strategies and methodologies of solutions adopted, including financial elements. (25%)

Note: Items (3), (4) and (5) should be written in not less than 3000 words.
GUIDANCE

This assignment is designed to
 Test your knowledge and application of subject at Level 7.
 Test your ability to apply knowledge of strategic management and skill of research methods for identifying problems of strategic development, causes and consequences of risks in various organisations.
 Test your ability to provide possible solutions for solving different decision-making problems by using knowledge, calculation and interpretation skills of subject.

DO NOT
 Simply describe the problem without reference to appropriate theories, models and concepts. Remember that you are asked to ‘analyse’.
 Rely on Internet sources. You are expected to use appropriate books and journal articles to illustrate your work.
 Submit ANYTHING OTHER THAN YOUR OWN WORK. If there is any reason to suspect the originality of your work you WILL be called to attend a viva voce.

 Make reference to at least 5 reliable literature sources to enhance your answer.
 Use the Harvard Referencing System correctly.
 Use the chosen literature to explain aspects of the problem and to support your contentions and recommendations.
 Structure your report so that each task is addressed in turn. Use appropriate sub-headings to make your work logical and easy to read.
 Remember that this is work at Masters Level. The marking criteria and grading have been attached for your reference.


MARKING CRITERIA AND GRADING
GRADE A (70 MARKS OR ABOVE): To achieve a grade A the report should be exceptionally well written and well presented. You should have used appropriate literature to explain and underpin the contentions made in the body of the text. The literature should be properly referenced using the Harvard system. The work should clearly demonstrate evidence of wide reading and a thorough understanding of the subject. The theory should be correctly and creatively applied to the subject of the study. The content should be accurate, creative and intelligently written at the appropriate level.
GRADE B (60 TO 69 MARKS): To achieve a grade B the report should be very well written and presented. You should have used appropriate literature to explain and underpin the contentions made in the body of the text. The literature should be properly referenced using the Harvard system. The work should clearly demonstrate evidence of relevant reading and a good understanding of the subject. The theory should be correctly applied to the specific problem. The content should be accurate and logical at the appropriate level.
GRADE C (50 TO 59 MARKS): To achieve a grade C the report should be well written and neatly presented. You should have used appropriate literature to explain and underpin the contentions made in the body of the text. The literature should be properly referenced using the Harvard system. The work should demonstrate evidence of some relevant reading and an understanding of the subject. The theory should be correctly applied to the specific problem. The content should be accurate and sensible at the appropriate level.
GRADE D (40 TO 49 MARKS): To achieve a grade D the report should be logical and easy to read. You should have used some appropriate literature to explain and underpin the contentions made in the body of the text. The literature should be properly referenced using the Harvard system. The work should demonstrate evidence of some reading and an understanding of the subject. The theory should be applied to the specific problem. The content should be accurate and sensible and largely at the appropriate level.
GRADE E (30 TO 39 MARKS): An E will be awarded where most of the criteria for a Grade D have been achieved, but the report falls short of the overall standard for a pass, or where referencing is not in accordance with the Harvard system. An E will be awarded to work which may be accurate but which largely falls below ‘M’ level.#p#分页标题#e#
GRADE F (29 MARKS OR BELOW): A piece of work will be awarded an F grade if
 It is not written in a clear and logical fashion
 It does not use enough appropriate literature to support the body of the text
 What literature there is has not been correctly referenced
 Tasks have not been adequately addressed
 If it does not largely meet the requirements of ‘M’ level (7)
