The Managing Director of a successful SME based in Europe (you may use Finland
 or your home country) has been thinking about expanding into North America. He has contacted you for assistance and guidance because of your expertise of the North American markets. In preparing your report to the Managing Director, you need to consider and comment upon the following:

• What are the advantages and/or disadvantages for the company if it decides
to expand its operations into North America?

• What are some of the key issues and concerns that need to be considered as part of the
decision making process?

• Which country within North America would you recommend for the company’s initial expansion and why?  Would you recommend expanding into other North American markets, and if so, how and when?

• Why, in your opinion, do many companies from Europe fail in their attempts to penetrate the North American  http://www.ukassignment.org/   markets?  What can this company do to try and
