You are required to download the assignment information from webct. The assignment is a case based assignment where students are required to apply their knowledge from studying the subject to develop an audit plan for the selected entity. This is a group assignment.
It is expected that students will
1. identify relevant issues relating to the development of an audit plan
2. analyse the issues in light of the relevant auditing literature and applicable auditing standards
3. develop an audit approach based on the information obtained from the assignment information leaflet and other relevant sources
4. provide appropriate references to relevant auditing theories and auditing standards where required.

Assignment not meeting these requirements will be returned for resubmission with an automatic penalty of four (4) marks for poor presentation. This includes exceeding the 30% originality level. Penalty of two (2) marks per day applies for late submission. Turnitin does not accept late submission.
The final due date for submission of this task is Monday . For domestic students, submission should be to the School Assignment Box. Offshore students should follow the instructions of their local lecturer.
Students must submit both electronic and hardcopy of the assignment. The version must be submitted via turnitin. The maximum originality level is 30%. That means assignment must not exceed this level.

Project Brief

The objective of this subject is to provide students with a sound understanding of the underlying concepts of auditing. By adopting a logical, structured approach they should have the capacity to analyse the salient audit issues and apply relevant auditing theories and auditing standards and succinctly communicate their professional, ethical decision.
The objective of the assignment is to provide students with the opportunity to develop an understanding of key auditing concepts through the formulation of an audit plan.
