Outline Description
Part 1) An individual report applying the theories underpinning entrepreneurial activity to a practical setting, http://www.ukassignment.org/ through conducting an interview with an entrepreneur. Word limit; 2000 words
Part 2) You are required to submit a document reflecting on your experiences in undertaking the assignment. Word limit 500 words

Detailed Assignment Information
Purpose
• to meet and interview a 'real' entrepreneur or owner-manager
IMPORTANT NOTE:
In order to combat the possibility of cheating in assignment 2, the chosen
entrepreneur must be based in Wales and his/her contact details must be provided to allow the tutor to check authenticity.
• to apply theoretical frameworks and models to the interpretation of this life case.
• to investigate the relationship between the personal aspirations and
expectations of an owner-manager and his or her business objectives.
Task
1. Identify an entrepreneur who owns and operates a business
2. Develop a questionnaire that will be used to explore the characteristics of he individual
3. Communicate with the individual to set up an interview session
4. Analyse the data collected against the main theories
5. Conclude on any fit between relevant theories and the actual attributes exhibited by the individual.
Areas to think about
Be prepared to discuss the information collected about your entrepreneur under the following headings:
1. What are the elements from his/her background that would point to his/he being a ‘entrepreneur’?
2. Consider: Motivations for starting a business; their use of contacts and networks; how easy or otherwise was it to establish credibility. Why?
3. What entrepreneurial models would best fit your entrepreneur?
Finding an entrepreneur
Your entrepreneur could be someone from:
Friends: your immediate friends or your wider network of friends and
acquaintances
Family: your immediate family or your wider family network
Activities: your local shops i.e a newsagent, corner shop, confectioner,launderette, off-licence or other services you use i.e driving school, typing service, travel agent, entertainment venues
You may be pleasantly surprised at just how many real entrepreneurs you have contact with!
