In relation to accounting policy choice look at the notes to the financial report for reference to policies on things like depreciation, inventory valuation and costing method, bad and doubtful debts, amortisation of goodwill, and asset impairment/writedowns. If possible, though not entirely expected, comment on how alternative policy choice would affect the financial report and assessment.
Industry averages are hard to find and sometimes costly. So instead of this, you may consider some time series analysis for your company, or look at some ratios from a competitor. The resource mentioned in the Unit Outline "Fin Analysis" is accessible through the library online and has many ratios for many companies. You may wish to include some of those ratios in your analysis in any way you see fit.
The summary of key financial data should not duplicate the three finacial statements (they should be attached to the assignment in any case), but rather summarise the main figures eg for the income statement, sales, cost of sales, gross profit, other expenses, net profit etc, and for several years if possible as this provides time series/trend data.
