Assignment Instructions 工作指示 The assignment is compulsory. All students must submit a completed assignment. 作业是强制性的。所有的学生都必须提交完成的任务。 The assignment is worth 40% of the assessment for this unit. The exam is worth 60%.课外作业占据了本单元的评估价值的40％。该考试是值60％的分数。 The following instructions must be read together with the Unit Guide, which is available on DSO. Please pay particular attention to the information about plagiarism in the Unit Guide. If you have any questions regarding the assignment, please post your questions on DSO to the Unit Chair or your campus co-ordinator. Due date and submission 如果你有关于作业中的任何问题，可以在DSO 向你所在的系的老师来提交你的疑问 2. An extension to the due date will only be granted in exceptional circumstances after appropriate documentation has been submitted and approval granted by the Unit Chair or Coordinator prior to the due date. 3. Subject to the paragraph 4below, assignments submitted late without an extension will be subject to a penalty of 10% of the total marks available for the assignment per day (or part day) late. 4. Assignments submitted more than 5 days late without an extension will not be assessed and will receive an automatic mark of 0%. 5. All students must submit their assignment on DSO by 5:00 pm AEST or AEDST on Monday 30 April 2012. It is every student’s own responsibility to ensure that his/her DSO submission is correct and has been successful. 6. No assignment can be taken back once it is submitted. 7. Assignment results are usually returned within 15 working days after the due date. Assessment measures评估措施 The assignment requires you to analyse a specific legal problem. It measures your ability to: 所有的任务，需要你去分析具体的法律问题，它可以测试出你的能力。 1. Identify all the legal issues raised by the problem that are relevant to the question; 2. Identify and explain clearly the legal concepts and principles from the constitution, case law and the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) relevant to the identified legal issues; 3. Answer all parts of the question; 6. Express yourself clearly and organise your argument in a logical manner; 7. Organise your thoughts in a logical and coherent manner; 8. Structure your argument; and 9. Provide citations in the appropriate format. Presentation 1. Your assignment must be typed and your name and ID number must be included on your assignment. 2. Use footnotes (not Harvard system) to refer to your sources of information. Footnotes Your assignment should contain footnotes indicating the sources of your information.你的任务应包含脚注，说明您的信息的来源。 1. Legislation should be cited simply by section number with CA as the abbreviation for the Corporations Act 2001(Cth). E.g., s.190 of CA. 2. Books are cited as initial – surname – book title – year and volume of journal – journal title – page numbers starts on – your page reference. E.g., H Nelson, “Directors’ Duties in Australia” (1999) 14 Bond Law Review 12 at 16. 3. Where you cite from the same book more than once, later references should just mention the surname and page numbers. E.g., Cassidy, p 236. 4. Cases are cited by reference to the names of the parties – date and volume number – abbreviated law report title – page number – your page reference number. E.g., Klutz v Batt (1980) 12 CLR 154, 166. 5. Internet sources should contain the full internet address and the date you accessed the site. Plagiarism In addition to the University’s policy on plagiarism, you should pay particular attention to the following issues:除了大学的政策抄袭，你要特别注意以下问题： 1. If you are quoting directly from another person’s work you must place that sentence in quotation mark and provide an appropriate footnote. 2. If you are paraphrasing that work, or expressing in your own words an idea or argument from another author, quotation marks are not required but a footnote must still be provided. 3. This assignment is not group work. Students must write their assignment independently. 4. Turnitin is available on DSO for you to check your work prior to submission. |
